Overview
The FRCOG’s Franklin-Hampshire Training Hub covers 51 municipalities and works, through funding from the Massachusetts Local Public Health Training Program funded by the MA Department of Public Health Office of Local and Regional Health (OLRH). The Training Hub’s Trainers work to strengthen the competencies and capacity of the local public health workforce. The program is based on the Performance and Workforce Standards, and facilitates uniform and standardized training of regional and municipal health agents and inspectors throughout the state.
FRCOG seeks a second public health trainer, a full-time job (37.5 hrs/wk) with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
- In-person inspection training and evaluation for local health department staff to help them fulfill the applied practice portion of their state training
- Participating in the development of statewide training curricula
- Mentoring and support — including document review and online and in-person technical assistance
