Overview
The Contracted Health Inspector supports the Warren Board of Health in strengthening core local public health services, to advance the recommendations of the 2019 Special Commission on Local Public Health and promote healthier communities across the region. The Contracted Health Inspector will be based in Warren, MA and will report to Warren’s Board of Health.
Responsibilities
The Contracted Health Inspector will conduct all required inspections for the Town of Warren pursuant to Federal Food Codes, Massachusetts Sanitary Code, Massachusetts Housing Codes and others, as well as local regulations and by-laws. In addition, the Contracted Health Inspector is responsible for all aspects of the Town’s compliance with State, Federal and local rules and regulations pertaining to Public Health and for interpreting and enforcing these rules and regulations firmly, tactfully and impartially. The Contracted Health Inspector must maintain professionalism, sincerity, objectivity and approachability in dealing with residents, business owners, etc. and their concerns.
Compensation
This position is funded through the Town of Warren and can earn up to $15,000/Fiscal year. This is a non-benefit position.
